how to play mob math
Mob math is a free crowd runner you can play in the browser: the count-and-multiply game from the mobile ads, except it is real and it has no ads in the middle. You drag a blob of tiny runners down a long road, pick the better side of every gate, keep them away from spinning bars, saws, presses, logs and holes, and then either outnumber the castle guard at the finish or climb the stairs as high as your crowd allows. There are 15 hand-made levels with up to three stars each.
- Drag left and right anywhere on the road to steer the crowd. The arrow keys or A and D work too.
- Every gate has two sides. Plus and times grow the crowd, minus and divide shrink it. You go through whichever side the crowd is on.
- Spinning bars, sliding saws, presses, rolling logs and holes in the road take runners. Only the ones they touch are lost, so steer around them. A big crowd is wide, so it is harder to keep clear.
- Red crowds on the road fight you one for one. Hit them only if you can spare the runners.
- Levels end at a castle (more than its guard wins, the runners left standing count for stars) or a staircase where every step costs runners. The higher you climb, the more stars.
Keyboard: Left and right arrows (or A and D) steer, Enter or Space starts the run, and Esc goes back to the menu.
tips
- Once you have more than about ten runners, times two beats plus ten. Do the math on the gate before you pick it.
- A divide gate next to a big plus can still be the wrong side if your crowd is large. Halving 200 costs 100.
- The crowd squeezes into a long line over narrow bridges, so it takes a moment to fit. Line up early.
- Presses flash a red ring before they slam. The crowd never slows down, so pick the press that is lifting when you get there.
- Where a channel of water splits the road, add up every gate in a lane before you pick it. The first gate is often the bait, and swimming across costs runners.
faq
Is there a real version of the crowd runner game from the ads?
This is one. Everything you see in the ad happens here: the gates, the multiplying crowd, the blades and the final clash. No fake gameplay, no install.
How do you get three stars in mob math?
In a castle level, beat the guard with the number shown before the run still standing. In a stairs level, reach the top step. Every level can be three-starred; a solver proves it, and on the later levels it takes close to the best line.
Is times two always better than plus?
No. Times two adds as many runners as you already have, so plus 20 is better while your crowd is under 20. Compare the two numbers you would end with.
Does the crowd carry over between levels?
No. Each level starts with its own crowd, so a bad level never ruins the next one.
Can I play it on my phone?
Yes. It is built for phones first: drag with one finger, nothing scrolls, and it runs in the browser.
Is mob math free?
Yes, free with no sign-up. Your stars are saved in this browser.
